We're celebrating some of the contributions of Estia Health's volunteers for national volunteer week.

Meet Anita! Anita first came to be a volunteer at our home after her mum, Dorothy, passed away. Anita was a wonderful support to her mum and to other residents and employees in the home whilst her mum was a resident here. Shortly after Dorothy passed away, Anita realised what a large part of Estia Health Salisbury East had become in her life and decided she wanted to continue to service residents by way of becoming a volunteer.

A prominent Coast farming family has gone above and beyond to bring joy and happiness to elderly residents who have lost their connection to animals. Gjenie and her husband Michael Erbacher, whose family own and run Erbachers Fruit and Veg in Diddillibah, decided to take their horses to visit residents at Estia Health in Nambour.

The team at Estia Health Flagstaff Hill celebrated Rudolph’s 90th birthday together. Rudolph’s family greeted him by surprise outside with home-made banners, balloons, cards and presents. Although his family weren’t able to physically congratulate him they certainly made him feel very special and loved.
