We feel privileged and proud that we are able to support older Australians and their families at such an important time in their lives
Why Estia Health?
At Estia Health, we exist to enrich and celebrate life together. We create residential aged care homes where everyone is welcome. Homes that reflect the residents who choose us, the local communities around us and the people that support and work with us.
Estia Health as it stands today, came together in 2014 following the amalgamation of three major, established aged care providers – Estia Health, Padman Health Care and Cook Care. We continued to grow with the Kennedy homes joining the Estia Health family in 2016. It was at this time that our organisation’s One Family motto came to life as we worked together to understand each other’s perspectives and celebrated each organisations heritage, which is what makes Estia Health the diverse residential aged care organisation it is today.
As a publicly listed company, today Estia Health is one of Australia’s larger aged care operators, with 68 homes in SA, VIC, NSW and QLD. We care for over 8,000 residents every year and support them and their family at an incredibly important time in their lives. We embrace diversity and welcome residents from all walks of life.
Estia Health is not affiliated nor associated with the Estia Foundation of Australia (a registered charity and provider of NDIS services).
Our principles and values
Our residents, their families and our employees often say they feel as if they’re part of the Estia Health family, which is why our organisation’s purpose is built on the foundations of our family code: family where everyone belongs. This is brought to life through a set of five principles, guided by our values, which our employees demonstrate daily in their varied and valued roles.
Our Executive team
Our organisation is built on the foundations of strong governance, with experienced and skilled Board members supported by an Executive team leading the organisation. With extensive experience from a wealth of backgrounds, our Executive team strives to ensure our residents and their families have peace of mind, knowing they are cared for by experienced, compassionate teams in safe and supportive environments.

Our approach to sustainability
We know that for our organisation to have a sustainable future, it is dependent on the wellbeing of our people, supporting and integrating within our local communities and the continued health of the natural environment. We have a Sustainability Strategy with three key focus areas and associated targets (to achieve by 2024) to help us reduce any potential negative impacts to the sustainability of our organisation and enhance our ability to deliver trusted, high-quality care to older Australians.
Supporting our people
We are an organisation built on the experience, skill and passion of our people. Hiring, training and retaining a skilled workforce, remains one of the greatest challenges aged care providers face. Our people and work strategy is about continuing to grow a positive culture, providing career progression opportunities that mean we’re the preferred employer of choice, to make sure we can attract the most experienced, dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our organisation.
Enhancing our communities
Our residential aged care homes provide vital services to the local communities they operate in. Our community connections include local healthcare networks to ensure consistent care and services are available to older Australians in the community, as well as educational partnerships providing vocational opportunities for people in the local community, while supporting our strategy of a future with a skilled workforce. Other community connections help residents to feel connected and a sense of belonging while living in our homes. Our goals include developing a social impact framework to ensure our community connections and associated actions continue to provide the best benefit to the causes we support, while enhancing the care we provide to our residents.
Respecting our environment
Protecting the environment is a critical issue and key responsibility to ensure the future sustainability of our organisation and the protection of the environment for future generations. To support this, we have a responsibility to reduce unnecessary waste and minimise our consumption of finite resources to work towards reducing our contribution to climate change. Our goals include reducing our waste to landfill, water consumption, having a clear climate resilience plan and reducing our carbon emissions.

Our corporate governance
Estia Health is built on the foundations of strong governance, with experienced Board members supported by an Executive team leading the organisation to responsibly manage Estia Health and maintain a high-quality experience for residents and their families.
Our strong governance framework includes committees with experts, including senior clinicians to help enable the care in our homes to consistently meet and exceed required standards and that any potential risks are identified and managed so that our residents receive the highest levels of care in a safe and supportive environment.
With each decision made in our organisation, this evolves around the 8,000 residents we care for annually. As a publicly-listed company, we must adhere to several strict reporting and governance standards, which means we provide regular publicly available financial reporting. This establishes a regular and transparent approach to sharing information about our organisation.

We have a number of partnerships that play a key role in our ability to deliver the best care possible to our residents.
Our partnerships support us to train and educate our people, have quality produce and products in the daily care we offer and a true resident-centred approach with access to broader healthcare services that meet residents’ mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
We have long-standing partnerships with allied health providers, tertiary education organisations and Universities and continue to develop these partnerships that we believe help us deliver to our purpose to enrich and celebrate life together.
