There’s something special about being able to stay close to the people and community that have shaped your life.
There’s something special about being able to stay close to the people and community that have shaped your life.
That’s why we’re so proud to celebrate the official opening of Estia Health Findon, our newest aged care home in Adelaide’s inner western suburbs and our 20th home in South Australia.
Officially opened last week by the Hon Mark Butler MP, Estia Health Findon has been thoughtfully designed to support older people with a range of care needs while helping them remain connected to what matters most: family, friends and the community they know and love.
Acknowledging the importance of local access to quality aged care, Minister Butler welcomed the addition of new aged care places in the area, saying: “The opening of Estia Health Findon is a welcome investment for our community. More aged care places in Findon will give locals the chance to receive high-quality care closer to home.”

Our purpose-built home welcomes up to 124 residents and offers permanent residential care, respite, dementia and palliative care. Across five self-contained care areas, residents can enjoy dining and lounge spaces, and beautiful outdoor areas.
For residents living with dementia, a dedicated Memory Support Unit includes its own garden and courtyard.
Resident’s also have access to landscaped gardens, a wellness centre, café, hairdressing salon, cinema and private dining room, making it easy to spend time with loved ones and continue enjoying life’s everyday moments.
Our Chief Executive Officer Sean Bilton said supporting residents to feel welcome and connected is at the heart of the home.
“Moving into aged care is a significant decision for residents and their families. They want confidence in the care they will receive and a home where they feel welcome, know the people around them and can continue to enjoy time with family and friends.
“That is what our team at Findon is here to provide, alongside care tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences,” Mr Bilton said.

For Residential Aged Care Manager Nithin Joseph, the opening marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
“It’s a privilege to lead the team at Findon and support residents and their families at such an important time in their lives.”
Even before officially opening its doors, Findon was already building strong connections with the local community. Earlier this month, we welcomed visitors to an Open Day, giving community members the opportunity to tour the home and experience the warm and welcoming environment firsthand. The wonderful turnout and positive feedback reflect the excitement surrounding Findon and the important role it will play in the local area.
As residents settle into their new home, we’re excited to see the connections and moments of joy. Because while Estia Health Findon brings a beautiful new home to the local community, it’s the residents, loved ones and team members who will make it a place where life is enriched and celebrated together.
