Recently, we interviewed Rashmi, a Registered Nurse at Estia Kogarah. Being Nepalese, the concept of residential aged care was quite unusual for her – as her culture is one where family members provide care from one generation to the next.
However, Rashmi fully understands the needs of aged care in Australia and finds her role at Estia highly rewarding. Watch to see what she has to say.

It allows our graduates to develop clinical and leadership skills in a supportive environment. We believe in investing in our people and actively work with our graduates to grow their careers with planning and development programs.
Candy started with Estia Health in 2013 and held no aged care experience. She enjoyed career progression gaining experience in a number of roles and is now a Client Services Officer “I love to talk to the residents, to listen to their stories and see the photographs of good times” Candy enjoys the hospitality aspect of her role and bringing joy and happiness to the people she works with. She is very proud to be part of this wonderful family and she has built many friendships through her work.
Kerry started in aged care in 2012 in a casual weekend role to help her save for an overseas trip. She was hooked and soon gave up her previous career and moved into aged care full time. “It felt like I had found my ideal job – managing, nursing and still being closely involved with residents, families and staff” Kerry values the support she receives from her colleagues throughout Estia Health which she believes makes this company feel personable and provides a sense of belonging as one family.
Linda has been with Estia Health for a number of years across roles both in the head office and in our homes. “I have enjoyed many roles in my time at Estia Health and have had an exciting journey being a part of an organisation that was developing and growing into what it is today. It has to be the best education a person in aged care could have had - I have been very fortunate to have had this experience”. Linda has stayed with Estia Health because of the reward she feels for providing quality care and making a difference every day to residents’ lives. “Our residents are happy, our teams are wonderful and I believe we are the best aged care provider in the country”
