What happens at each stage from application to welcoming you

  • While application timelines vary due to a lot of factors, we aim to let you know within 1 - 5 days from when you apply for a vacancy at Estia Health if we will be moving forward with your application.

If you are successful, our talent acquisition business partners will connect with you to conduct a phone interview and advise you of what to expect during the recruitment process.

  • Our Talent Acquisition Business Partners will set up a time with you to learn more about your experience, your motivations in joining Estia Health and ask any questions to help them best represent you to the Hiring Manager.

  • If you have been successful with the phone Interview, our Talent Acquisition Business Partner will arrange a suitable time for you to meet with the Hiring Manager to allow you and the Hiring Manager to have a detailed conversation.

This will be an opportunity for our Hiring Manager to assess your skills and interest in the opportunity at Estia Health. It is equally a great opportunity for you to ask the Hiring Manager any questions you have about the role and expectations. If at this stage in the recruitment process you are unsuccessful, our Talent Acquisition Business Partner or Hiring Manager will provide you with feedback.

  • Anyone working in aged care must ensure compliance with the aged care legislation, specifically the Aged Care Act 1997 which ensures the safety of vulnerable older Australians. Depending on the position you are being considered for you will be asked to complete a:

    • National Criminal History Check; or a
    • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance for risk assessed roles.

Further it is a requirement of Estia Health that all employees provide evidence of:

    • Primary COVID-19 vaccination course of two doses and a third dose (booster); and
    • Annual influenza vaccine during influenza season; and
    • Any other vaccinations required under Estia Health policy, legislation and government enforceable directions.

You will also be required to provide evidence of relevant professional registration and/or qualifications whether that be:

    • Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration for Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses; or
    • Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree as required for other positions.

All candidates must provide evidence of working rights in either the form of:

    • An Australian Passport and/or birth/citizenship certificate for Australian Citizens; or
    • A Visa Check and Passport for international citizens in the form of a Department of Homes Affairs Visa Entitlement Online check (VEVO) including an international passport number.
  • If you have been successful through the recruitment process, our Talent Acquisition Business Partners will provide you with a verbal offer which will then be followed by an Estia Health Employment Contract generated via our system PageUp.

When you applied for the position at Estia Health you will have been required to create login details – you’ll be asked to use those login details to access the system and accept your Employment Offer online.

  • If you haven’t been successful for the opportunity you have applied for, this doesn’t mean that there won’t be other opportunities we can consider you for.
