Welcome to Estia Health Strathalbyn, our aged care home located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia
Estia Health Strathalbyn is a warm and welcoming home set back from the road and running along the banks of the Angas River. It is walking distance from the shops and services of Strathalbyn town centre.
The experienced clinicians, carers and hospitality teams look after all aspects of a resident’s care, including clinical, social and overall wellbeing, which can be accessed for short-term respite care or a longer stay. The home’s Memory Support Unit provides a safe and supportive environment for residents requiring additional support.
Residents enjoy views of the Angas River from the home’s main communal areas and gardens. There is a cinema room regularly used for movies, sporting events and telehealth appointments and a gym room used by visiting allied health professionals, including physiotherapists. Daily activities are tailored to residents’ interests and hobbies and the onsite chef and team cook fresh daily to meet residents’ preferences. Rooms are single with ensuite, many with lovely river views and others opening to the home’s pretty landscaped gardens.

To all the wonderful team at Estia Health Strathalbyn, Sincere thanks to each and everyone of you who cared for our Dad, Gordon in Room 19. Dad spoke so highly and fondly of you all. We know he was in good hands, because he told us often. We never thought that Dad would settle into a nursing home, but to our surprise he felt at home and very comfortable in your care. Our sincere thanks.Phil and family
Dear Peta, On behalf of my family and especially me, I just wanted also to thank you all in this email for the care Ruth received while she has been at Estia Health Strathalbyn for the past 6 1/2 years. We always felt confident she was being well looked after, and I can see everyone else is too. You have assembled a fabulous team working there in my opinion. There are so many beautiful kind carers. I know Ruth had her favourites, and it was lovely for me to know that when I wasn’t there. But so many of the others, too numerous to name, were beautiful with her as well under sometimes trying moments! The nurses have been dedicated, professional and gentle. As are the team of Michelle and Justin - what brightness and thoughtfulness they bring. And Deb and Mary at the front desk - always helpful and kind. Also, can I mention the hardworking housekeeping and kitchen staff, all absolute treasures doing their best for everyone. Delicious meals and beautifully clean rooms and washing etc. Most have been there the entire time Ruth has. It is not an easy world organising a residential care home these days and I think you should be so proud of your amazing team. I will miss coming in and seeing my Estia Health family, I am sure sometimes they were what kept us going! Please pass this on to the beautiful team, you are all doing a fantastic job in difficult times. Many, many thanks to everyone again, I hope I can come in and visit when things have settled. May you have an easy road the next few months. Love and best wishes and thinking of you all xxxFamily member

With love, Daphne and Roger, Graham and Ros, Ken and Joan, Lynette and WayneFamily members

What will it cost?
When moving into an aged care home the amount you pay will depend on the home and room you choose, your own circumstances and means to pay for the available care and services. Your accommodation and care costs may be partly or fully covered by the government, which will be determined by a means assessment.
Will it suit my needs?
We have 70+ homes in NSW, QLD, SA and VIC and all offer care for those requiring a short-term or longer stay, as well as helping people requiring urgent care. Our experienced and compassionate teams care for people with a range of complex conditions, including people living with dementia, as well as those requiring palliative and end-of-life-care.
What are the next steps?
Moving home is a big decision, especially when it comes to aged care. Let us guide you through the process step-by-step with the right information at the right time. We will support you from your initial enquiry, answering your questions on the types of care we offer, the costs involved through to when you're ready to move into your new home.
