One family where everyone belongs

Show Day at Aberfoyle Park!

Highlights of the day included delicious jam donuts, a fairy floss machine onsite, face painting and an array of prizes which could be won down the home’s ‘side show alley’. And Farmer Darcy’s Travelling Farm was greatly enjoyed by all, with staff and residents having the opportunity to interact with rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, piglets, goats, sheep, and even a cow and alpaca!

Residents were assisted to travel along the home’s yellow brick road, towards stations which were set up for participants to collect treats and trinkets to add to their showbags! Residents also enjoyed a BBQ lunch, and reading the fun facts on the history of the Adelaide Show, which were displayed on the walls around the facility.

“It was an amazing day,” reflected Executive Director of Aberfoyle Park, Fiona Engelsma. “And we were so appreciative of all the family and residents that joined in!”

A special thanks to the whole Aberfoyle team, who made this wonderful event the success it was!
