Michael took the opportunity to visit the home and also present a very special award to one of Estia’s residents.

“It was lovely to meet with residents and staff of Estia Health Ringwood,” said Michael. “I had the honour of presenting an award to Ms Andrea Devine, Estia’s resident admissions ambassador.”

Ms Devine has been a resident at the home for seven years, and supports all new residents and families throughout the admission process.

“She is such an invaluable part of our Ringwood family,” reflected Estia’s proud Executive Director of Ringwood, Michelle Jarvis.  “And to have Michael visit our home to present the award to our Ms Devine, it made an already wonderful celebration, particularly special.”

Meeting the Ringwood residents, and joining them for a few moments during their popular tai chi session, gave Michael the opportunity to experience firsthand the kinds of lifestyle activities available at the home.

“It was great to have that kind of support for our residents,” added Estia’s Chief Operating Officer, Ian Thorley who also attended the day. “The whole day was a great opportunity to discuss with Michael how we can better support our ageing Australians together.”
