Estia Health Flagstaff Hill’s Patricia shares her experiences of the 2017 Graduate Nurse Program
Commencing her career in Aged Care as a Personal Care Worker, Patricia joined the Graduate Nurse Program earlier this year and has since been transitioning into her new role as a Registered Nurse at Estia Health Flagstaff Hill. At our recent Graduate immersion, she shared her experiences of the program.
When asked what she has enjoyed the most, Patricia felt it was the great variety of learning opportunities the program provided.
“I have learnt so much, and have been given such a great opportunity to learn.”
The support along the way has also made the experience a positive one, with Patricia sharing, “I’ve loved working around the home and am very thankful for the team at Flagstaff Hill who have supported me, I always have someone to call.”
(Patricia enjoying the mandatory Fire Warden training).
Patricia plans to continue working in aged care and build further on her learning to one day move into a management role.
The Estia Graduate Nurse Program provides mentoring and coaching to assist recent nursing graduates in their transition from student to Registered Nurse. It allows our graduates to develop clinical and leadership skills in a supportive environment.
We are proud to offer successful applicants of the program a permanent position with ongoing employment, actively working with our graduates to grow their careers with planning and development programs.
Estia Health is looking forward to watching our 2017 Graduates grow throughout their career, and we are always looking for new graduates to join our program. Information regarding Estia Health’s 2018 Graduate Nurse Program intake will be released in July.
