Estia Health Epping – ‘The Poplars’ – is one of Australia’s most well-established aged care homes, with a history dating back to 1928. And while it has been recently rebuilt and modernised, the home still retains its exceptional Frank Lloyd Wright inspired interiors, creating a residence with the character of a grand country house.
Set on an acre, Estia Health Epping is located on a quiet residential street close to public transport and the green expanse of the adjoining Epping Oval.
Various members of staff speak a second language and a number have been at the residence for many years, providing a genuine sense of familiarity, stability and understanding.

Indoors, classical décor and elegantly comfortable furnishings combine to provide an atmosphere of warmth, security, style and comfort. Outdoors, fruit trees, herbs and flowers surround the green manicured lawns and provide a tranquil natural environment for relaxation or gentle exercise. Family and friends are very welcome to join our residents at our coffee shop with balcony area, which can also be booked for private functions and intimate gatherings to ensure our residents remain connected to their communities.Additional care
Well-balanced and nutritious meals are freshly prepared and cooked on site under the supervision of our professional chefs. A wide variety of health and wellbeing programs, designed by qualified coordinators, are tailored to each resident's personal needs. Allied health professionals such as physiotherapists and podiatrists are part of our support team, and hairdressers are on site as required. Pastoral care is also available. Importantly, we offer exceptional levels of care and service. Our staff, many of them bilingual, are on call 24 hours a day to help out where required or just to share a quiet chat. We also offer a secure memory support unit dedicated to ongoing specialised care for those with higher care needs.Common areas
Eight beautifully designed and sun-filled lounge areas host a range of social activities and get-togethers with families and fellow residents. Classical furnishings, broad windows and large flat screen televisions add to the home comforts that our residents enjoy. The elegance of the two dining rooms reflects the quality of daily menus, while a coffee shop, gymnasium, dedicated library and fully-equipped hair and beauty salon offer our residents an extra level of indulgence.
