Today, whilst visiting Gladys, she showed us the events calendar and spoke of all the interests she loved to be a part of, and then tool us on a tour.
Many, in fact all aspects deeply impressed me. I’ll mention four in particular.
1. The excellent us of colour throughout – it seemed that sunshine pervaded every corner and corridor.
2. The humanity atmosphere that pervaded every corridor and area created by your staff – every single one of them had a smile and a friendly word.
3. The cleanliness and odour of everywhere and everything was applaudable.
4. The very wide range of activities and well-equipped areas for these.
5. Having worked in healthcare for most of my professional life, my judgements are accurate to say the least. I would recommend your establishment without hesitation and in fact if I were a lot older and infirm, I’d be happy to find a home in your place.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to all the employees who cared for my mum, Gladys. I’m very grateful to all the people who added so much to the quality of Mum’s life for the last three and a half years and most especially for the extra care taken of her in the last three weeks. I don’t think she could have been in better hands. Many thank also to you for your patience and kindness to me in these last difficult weeks. With love and best wishes

Russ and I wish to sincerely thank you all for your care of Dad during his stay with you. As his body and mind slowly failed, your bright and cheery care helped to brighten his day.
I would particularly like to thank those of you who took time out to make sure that I was OK. Your care and thoughtfulness and friendship towards me meant a lot at a very sad time. Those memories will remind with me in the future as I recall the end of Dad’s life journey.

Dear Penny - we haven’t met as Mum has become one of your residents during the period when I have been unable to travel to Australia (from the UK where I live). I want to express my very positive impression of how Mum has been welcomed into your community - she seems both content and comfortable to me, with none of the sense of loneliness that I used to feel from her after Dad died five years ago and when she was living by herself. To me this is a great relief at a time when I have felt very powerless to help Mum - and so I am very grateful to you, and your team, which you seem to lead excellently - a rare skill I’ve found in my time! To the wonderful team at Estia Health Encounter Bay, I would like to thank you for the wonderful care you are taking of my father Neville. You are taking superb care of Dad and our entire family appreciate it. Each time I speak to Dad he mentions how wonderful the meals are. He cannot believe how delicious and varied they are. The one thing Dad raves about is Friday being ‘fish and chips’ day. Dad just loves Fridays now! He said the chef always varies from crumbed to grilled to battered and he thoroughly enjoys the variety...sometime life is so busy we don’t find time to say thank you but today I found time. Thank you! Thank you so much
