PURPOSE and SCOPE

This policy sets out the principles we will follow to keep each other and those that live and visit our homes, safe and well in all the activities we undertake throughout the entire company. Providing a safe workplace enables our organisation to live our values. This is operationalised through the implementation of our Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Management System. Our HSW Management System is integral to our operations and integrates with other business systems and processes where applicable.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, volunteers and students (and to any other person notified as such). We are committed to complying with the Work Health and Safety Acts and Regulations for the jurisdictions in which we operate, as well as codes of practice and other safety guidance material. The responsibility for managing health and safety ultimately rests with the person in control of the business or undertaking (PCBU), directors and management. All employees have important responsibilities for health and safety in the workplace.
