Chris has worked at Estia Health since 2018 as one our home’s Executive Directors. He’s had a fascinating career journey to where he is now, appointed as Estia Health’s Talent Acquisition Business Partner.

Chris began his career in hospitality, working as a McDonald’s store manager before he worked his way up to a senior management role. After talking to his parents, they encouraged him to put his breadth of skills to use in another sector, which is when Chris decided to make the move into aged care. Chris spoke of his decision to join Estia Health ‘What initially attracted me to Estia Health is our ‘One Family’ values (compassion, responsiveness, accountability, respect, collaboration). These truly resonate with me personally and have continued to reign true throughout my time with Estia Health as I’ve embedded them within my teams.’

Chris spoke of his role when he first joined Estia Health ‘I joined Estia Health in May 2018 as an Executive Director at our Estia Health Mudgeeraba home on the Gold Coast. In 2019 I had the privilege of commissioning and leading our new home Estia Health Southport home, working with team members from surrounding Estia Health homes, as well as all the specialist support teams from property and development, quality, to marketing and communications to ensure a smooth opening. This was such a great experience and I was incredibly proud to be a part of it.’
Chris has continued to progress his career at Estia Health, making the move from an operational role as Executive Director to become a Talent Acquisition Business Partner. Chris now works in one of Estia Health’s skilled support teams, providing valuable insight on what it’s like to work in our homes, identifying the qualities tolook for in candidates.
