Room price payment methods

Within Australia's aged care system, there are a few different fees you may be required to pay. Please refer to our What does it cost? page for more detailed information.

If you are required to pay the room fee known as a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or Refundable Accommodation Contribution (applicable to partially supported residents), a common option is to supplement a part-payment with a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP). If you choose this option, your DAP is calculated based on how much you contribute or deposit towards the RAD.

You can use our helpful room price calculator to estimate the breakdown between your DAP and RAD.* Additional fees apply upon entering aged care, please ask your local Estia home for details.
